Seattle Art Fair - Report 3
Gagosian Gallery of New York kept their booth to a "Outer Space" theme. They are an extremely high end gallery with multiple locations around the world. A Robert Rauschenburg Contribution Two variations from Andy Warhol. Ed Ruscha's piece was at the entrance of the booth. Chris Burden's scale model of the solar system was displayed, The Sun, Mercury and a few planets were in the exhibition center. Pluto was all the way by Pike Place Market. Seattle Art Fair - Report 2
I noted an interesting marketing or strategy from a pair of Seattle galleries at the 2018 fair. Both the Traver Gallery and Foster White chose to highlight just one of their artists and not the whole stable. Preston Singletary is an established glass artist in the region, and I'm sure by now is regarded in high esteem in additional regions of the USA and Canada. I was fortunate to meet him probably 25 years at a Pilchuck Glass School open house and he was an unknown. I rec

Seattle Art Fair 2018 - Report 1
August is always a busy art month and most of it happens in the first week or so. I did make it to the 2018 Seattle Art Fair in the Century link Exhibition Center. I missed out on last year's event. Marie Watt Coming to Kucera Gallery for September.
I just received this release for a show by Marie Watt and Claude Zervas at Greg Kucera Gallery for September and October. I have mentioned before that I was actually Marie's high school track and cross country coach way back in the early 1980's. For more info go to the link at the Greg Kucera Gallery.

A group show titled, The Wild Life is currently showing and includes a variety of mediums. The artists featured are:Becky Fletcher, Dan Friday, Karen Willenbrink-Johnsen, Ka

A bit of good news as I was informed that two pieces from the and/or series recently sold. Touch and Go (Factor) and Here and There (Turmoil) were both sold around the close of the show.
