I've started a new piece recently, here's the progress: Still need to create some plaques and interior pieces before I start painting.

Tenth Anniversary Show at Smith and Vallee

Congratulations to the crew at Smith and Vallee Gallery in Edison on their ten year anniversary. If you've not visited this location, it is a spectacular space in a turn of the century school house. The work is top shelf and represents a diverse cross section primarily of Northwest Washington. If your making a trip to Mount Vernon, Laconner, or Bellingham, it is always worth a stop! There's a great bakery a few doors down as well.

A Visit to the Claremont Art Museum

Curing my last trip to Southern California I made a point to see the new Claremont Art Museum. It is a new location in the old train depot in the south end of the village. As you can see it is a gorgeous historical building, and it is equally beautiful inside as well. (I didn't take any pictures...this one is from the CAM site) The current exhibition is titled Tree Speak: Interpretation of the Rustlings and includes works by Claremont area artists including friends of mine Steve Comba and Chris Toovey.
