Updated the "Press" Section of the Website

I discovered a folder of art reviews while cleaning out some of my parents old things. I was quite delighted to find them as I thought I had lost them for good. I've scanned and/or photographed them for posterity. Many were some really old photo copies on old photocopy paper from the 1980's that had turned brown. As I said, I was pleased to find the files, and a few reviews I did not know I even had. I have loaded them all to the Press section of the web site. Looking back, the No Neo, Neopunkadelic show at the Zoller Gallery at The Pennsylvania State University was quite an exhibition. I was pleased tio be included. If I remember correctly, my piece had a full page spread in the center

and/or Opening at Lynn Hanson Gallery

We had a great turn out for the July Pioneer Square Art Walk and opening at Lynn Hanson. It was really busy so I just took these shots before everything really got going. A grouping of smaller works This is on the right side as you enter the gallery. And this was to the left. This pair was in the rear section of the gallery. This trio was in the middle section of the gallery space. This gives you the idea of the arrangement of the main space. Trial and Error looks great lit in the gallery. Not the most flattering picture of me, but here is one of me in the space. The show is open the rest of the mont on Fridays and Saturdays. It will be closed the 13th and 14th however.

K40 - Entry 17 - Mirrors the Good, Bad, and Ugly

I've touched on this in the past when I cracked the stock mirror on the far right. I was lazy and only replaced the bad one even though they came in a 3-pack. A month or so ago the power on my K40 seemed a little suspect so I cleaned the mirrors. That's the best I could do on the center mirror. It is one of the stock mirrors that came with the unit. the mirror on the left is the one that was in the cutter head. Anyway, replacing the two remaining mirrors did up the cutting power back to normal. I will replace the stock lens in the near future. It looks like you can get a decent replacement for around $35.

Trial and Error is completed.

As you can see by the announcement previously in this blog, Trial and Error (Collateral) is completed. I am extremely pleased with the result of this work. Things fell into place. I wasn't sure about the color scheme, but it seems to work. A close up of the whale. A little more wide angled shot. a close up of one of the saw blades. A close up of the moon.
