Degas Bronzes at the Norton Simon

My recent trip to the Norton Simon last month resulted with me taking a moment to stop and notice just how many Degas bronze sculptures are in there collection. I do not believe that I have seen this many in one place. That includes a couple of trips to Paris!

Horses that I had not seen before.

A number of the pieces were cast posthumously, but nonetheless, it is quite a collection of I guess 20 or more. Yet another reason to hit the Norton Simon Museum. I had not been there since I believe the early 1980's.
