Studio Opening at Gasworks Studios

A friend of mine, Kirsten Anderson invited me to a studio opening last Friday night at the Gasworks Studios located just north of Ivar's Salmon House on Lake Union.

There was a really good turn out! I've never been there before. The building is a bit of a "Winchester Mansion" in the upstairs portion as there seems to be staircases going every which way to a variety of small studios.

Kirsten's studio is down stairs and housed in a little more traditional linear space. Apparently the build was an old fishing supply storage facility that was converted to over 50 studios I'd guess around 10 years ago.

t was a fun time. I'm not sure if it is a monthly event, but I'll check into it.
