A Little Field Work
I figured that I needed a little field work so I've been out the last two mornings fishing for pink salmon in the Puget Sound.
This morning I landed a small pink salmon from the shore at Lincoln Park. (Makes up for the one I lost yesterday) Kinda combat fishing as there were probably 150-200 people fishing at that site. I caught it in the first 5 minutes I was there! Probably should have packed up and left while I was ahead, as I did not get another strike.
The pink salmon population is on a two year cycle here, so fishing heats up in late July and continues through August. It is estimated that there are 7 million pinks in Puget Sound for this season.
I'll try to get out a few more times this summer and if I have some good luck, I'll post up.
