Updating Postcards from shows
This is the postcard from my MFA show at Claremont Graduate University in 1986. The image is titled "Remember the Alamo" and is the first wall painting that I included fish in. I still have the piece.
The Card was printed by a good friend of mine; Tom Danielsen and his graphics class at Sammamish High School in Bellevue. Back in 1986, a set of 1000 postcards ran probably $1000-1500 before paying for postage.
One of the core faculty at then CGS, Connie Zehr was quite impressed with the ingenuity that went into cutting costs on these cards. I was the first to utilize a high school printing department.
