Cut and Dry
Here is the start of a piece for the And/Or series titled Cut and Dry. Normally when I create a piece I build the frame, and the backing, paint both, then cut out the decorative elements, paint them and assemble the whole thing. I am trying to completely plan out and construct this particular piece before I paint any of it.
Obviously the plaque at the top is crooked. Nothing is permanently attached yet as I need to paint and finish most parts separate from each other.
Edit: It took me a while, but somehow I missed the misspelling of tolerant, it has been corrected!
This piece is based on horn sharks found off of Catalina Island. There is also a kelp forest element that is missing at this stage.
