Chris Burden - Seattle Art Fair

I believe that it was the Gagosian Gallery from New York that included one of Chris Burden's submarine based sculptures. It is a rare treat to see some of the late Pomona College alumni's work here in Seattle.

I was fortunate to see his retrospective probably 25 years or more ago at the Newport Harbor Art Museum and it had a lasting impression on me. There were a number of these submarine based displays including one that represented all of the nuclear submarines on the planet.

It was sad to hear of his recent passing as it appeared to me he had a lot "left in the tank".
