COVID-19 Lockdown Museum Item 14 - Middle Fork by John Grade - Seattle Art Museum

Middle Fork by John Grade was created by making a mold of a full sized western hemlock I assume was off of the middle fork of the Snoqualmie river outside of Seattle. The "tree" was then recreated with what I would guess is hundreds of thousands of small blocks of reclaimed old growth cedar. It hangs from the ceiling of the main lobby of the museum.
