I noted an interesting marketing or strategy from a pair of Seattle galleries at the 2018 fair.  Both the Traver Gallery and Foster White chose to highlight just one of their artists and not the whole stable.

August is always a busy art month and most of it happens in the first week or so.  I did make it to the 2018 Seattle Art Fair in the Century link Exhibition Center. I missed out on last year's event.

I just received this release for a show by Marie Watt and Claude Zervas at Greg Kucera Gallery for September and October.  I have mentioned before that I was actually Marie's high school track and cross country coach way back in the early 1980's.

August has been quite the art viewing month with the Art Fair, First Thursday Artwalk, a trip to Vancouver BC

and a host of other art viewing opportunities. We did some camping over the weekend at Larabee State Park just south of Bellingham and stopped by the Smith and Vallee Gallery on our return trip.

Michael Brewster was a professor of mine at CGU.  In fact he was the chair of my MFA committee.  He passed away suddenly a few years ago.  CGU is honoring him with a posthumous exhibition in September.  I may be there to see, we'll see how my schedule pans out.  Details below.
